H2R Design was tasked with creating the interiors for Dubai’s first Bagel Yard cafe, already a renowned bagel concept in Montreal. Taking inspiration from the brand’s fresh and natural philosophy, the design welcomes guests to a contemporary and naturally lit space adorned with a variety of plants for contrast and texture.
The interior design includes exposed white brick, wooden tables, an open kitchen with a bagel bar, and a pegboard with freshly baked bagels that also serves as a feature wall. Warm wooden textures feature throughout, in the furniture and floor paneling, a symbolic gesture towards the significance of wood in the craft of bagel making.
The cafe is set in a traditional fashion with modern accents via interweaving industrial metallic and copper materials within the tabletops, utensil holders and table numbers, as well as on the lights along the counters, with a dash of blue placed harmoniously within the furniture and the distinctive brick wall.
